Welcome to Historyland Memorial Park, the locally owned and operated cemetery in the greater Fredericksburg area. Our beautifully manicured park is truly a sacred, special place. The cemetery is named for the historical founding figures of our country who hailed from this area. This rich historical significance and the old-time traditions are reflected throughout our location. For affordably priced cemetery and monuments in Colonial Beach, VA, check us out.

This property has changed hands through the years, most recently acquired by a local funeral-home owner, David Storke, in 2017. Historyland Memorial Park is currently the only privately owned cemetery in the area. As the other public cemeteries have been bought up by a corporate conglomerate, the pricing of burial sites has increased in the area. We are so pleased to offer an alternative solution for our community members.

Varied Burial Solutions at Our Cemetery and Monuments in Colonial Beach, VA

The cemetery has various burial arrangements available, with more options in the planning stages. We have (and will have) offerings for above and below-ground interments. Our cemetery can receive both intact and cremated remains for final disposition. Here are some options we have available now or coming soon:

  • Traditional in-ground burial plots are readily available in our park. Choose from a wide range of gardens or areas within the property.
  • Family estates and gardens can be purchased to ensure adequate space for future needs. These collections of plots are for below-earth burial. This pre-need purchase protects your ability to be buried next to each other when the time comes.
  • The Garden of Angels is our infant and children’s burial area. The heart-wrenching loss of little ones is unspeakable. Space is offered very reasonably for these difficult circumstances.
  • Personal or family crypts can be selected for those who are interested in above-ground burial. One or two-person mausoleums are built from granite. They will be placed in attractively landscaped areas.
  • Personal or family mausoleums are elegant and stunningly designed above-ground burial arrangements. These can be built for containerized, cremated, or casketed remains. This is our most private and exclusive style of burial.
  • Community mausoleums are now being designed. These attractive, above-earth burial spaces will serve those who prefer this arrangement but do not wish to purchase a private or family mausoleum.
  • Columbaria options are also in the planning stages. It is appropriate to use traditional burial sites for cremains if that is desired. We are adding the choices to deposit the cremated ashes in cremation niches held within a columbarium.

High-Quality Monuments Offered with Affordability In Mind
Since monuments and gravestones are a continually needed commodity in a cemetery, we are also a full-service bronze and granite dealer. This is good news for our customers since we can pass along the savings we enjoy to them. With many different profiles and material types to choose from, we are sure to help you find just what you are seeking. A monument or memorial marker can be unique and customized for your loved one.

Consider choosing upright memorials or benches made from pristine granite or marble. You may select bronze memorials housed on granite bases for longevity and stability. You might also choose low-profile, flat granite headstones or markers. Purchasing a memorial from us includes free installation in our cemetery or within a 100-mile radius. We hope to simplify the process of final arrangements for grieving families. There is no one quite like us when it comes to cemetery and monuments in Colonial Beach, VA.

Catholic Garden
Added only recently, the Catholic Garden burial area is a welcome addition for our patrons of faith. All burial plots are facing east to honor the Christian tradition that the Lord will return from the east on the Last Day. The garden faces a large wooded area. Nature’s backdrop is soothing and tranquil and adds to the healing atmosphere here.

There are plans to add beautifying and functional touches and symbols as this segment grows. Some ideas we are exploring are an altar, benches, and a crucifix. All plots are reasonably priced and can be acquired individually or may be purchased by the parish for bulk discounts.

Rules and Regulations to Maintain Order
An immaculate cemetery does not just happen. Our professional staff and groundskeepers work day after day in every season to keep things nice all year long. To help keep up the order, we do have rules and regulations surrounding decorations of the gravesites. For example, when floral arrangements become wilted and unsightly, they will be removed by our fantastic staff. For a complete list of policies, see our website for details.
